Sharyn Ochoa Named President Of Federal Defense Industries

Moorpark, CA (December 21, 2017) – Federal Defense Industries (FDI), a leader in military logistics, announces the promotion of Sharyn Ochoa to the position of president and chairman of the board. Under a recent reorganization, Sharyn Ochoa, co-founder of FDI, acquired a majority ownership in FDI and registered the company as a certified Woman-Owned Small Business (WOSB) with the Small Business Administration (SBA).

As a Woman-Owned Small Business, FDI is positioned for excellent growth and may now take advantage of government contracts that include set-asides specifically for WOSBs. Additionally, the company can now also help its partnering Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) satisfy their contracting goals with WOSBs.
President Sharyn Ochoa states, “This is an exciting new chapter for our company and I look forward to leading FDI. It’s great that the U.S. government encourages women to be business owners. At FDI, one third of our employees are women and fifty percent of our managers are women.”

Involved with FDI since its inception in 2000, Ms. Ochoa has been responsible during the years for creating unique training programs for employees.
